Ahmed Ololade, a.k.a. Asake, a well-known musician from Nigeria, has admitted that his desire for financial success was what ultimately led him to choose music over dancing.
In a recent interview, Asake made it clear that he chose a career in music because he was unsure whether dancing would bring him the needed financial success.
“My love of money is the reason I quit dancing. I want to be really sincere. My favourite thing to do is dance. But I doubt that dance will enable me to earn the money I desire.
“Even if you want to make it so gangster-like and there are so many people bumping, you still need to use the dancers. So, as they work together, I think I’d rather be singing for the love of money,” he said.
When asked if he would pursue dancing if it brought significant success, the singer responded: “No, I would join music and dance together so I will have more money.”
