It Is Disrespectful To Compare Me To Sarkodie – Yaw Tog

Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, popularly known as Yaw Tog, a Ghanaian rapper who specializes in drill music and is known in Ghana as Asaka, has expressed his displeasure with people, particularly showbiz pundits, comparing him to rapper Sarkodie.

In an interview with Amansan Krakye, the Kumerican rapper admitted to looking up to Sarkodie for musical inspiration. He holds King Sark in high regard.

As a result, he sees the comparisons made by others between him and the multiple award-winning rapper Sarkodie as unrelated. He added that every time they meet, Sarkodie blesses him with advice.

“If people compare me with Sarkodie I feel that you guys are disrespecting him because he knows what time is it and where I am right now he’s gone past that stage,”

“I will say that Sarkodie is someone that I really look up to him and I have met him on several occasions he has advised me a lot. 

Sarkodie is an elderly person in the music industry that we all take inspiration from him and he’s still active in the music scene already for all these while,”  Yaw Tog said in an interview on Kastle Drive Show.
