Aside from KiDi, another musician who has received harsh criticism from Ghanaians for his previous tweets is Ypee.
An old tweet from the Kumasi-based rapper has resurfaced online, revealing his vehement hatred for former President John Mahama.
When rapper Kwaw Kese was arrested in 2014 for possessing marijuana in Kumasi, many of his fans and a few celebrities launched the hashtag #Freekwawkese on various social media platforms.
Ypee was one of the celebrities who advocated for Kwaw Kese’s release, and his message of solidarity has unexpectedly bit him in the face.
He tweeted on November 26, 2014:
These Ypee comments did not age well and have turned out to be sore in the mouth because they are now haunting him and have harmed his hard-earned reputation.
Hopefully, he will issue a press statement apologizing for the old tweet, which does not reflect well on him or his brand.
