Diana Asamoah, a well-known gospel performer in Ghana, has responded to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, saying that Ghana needs to hold its own replica of the late Queen’s funeral, which will be presided over by the Asantes.
Diana Asamoah begged Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the ruler of the Asante Kingdom, in a Tiktok video to plan a memorable funeral for the Queen because it is well known that Asantes are unmatched in their ability to organize dignified funerals.
Diana Asamoah claims that she is well aware that the English Royal Family is unable to plan the late Queen’s funeral in the same manner as Asantes.
This is the main reason she wants Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to conduct a beautiful funeral service in Ghana in order to honour Queen Elizabeth II’s memory in a more fitting way.
Diana Asamoah added that if Otumfuo agrees to her request to plan Ghana’s version of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in Kumasi, she is even willing to provide financial support.
The gospel singer pleaded with Nana Addo to speak with Otumfuo on her behalf so that the revered king would take her proposal into consideration.
