Cynthia Okereke, a veteran Nollywood actress, has passed away.
Popular actor and director Joseph Okechukwu revealed the tragic event on Wednesday in an Instagram post, stating that Okereke passed away on Tuesday night.
Okechukwu shared a photo of the actress and claimed to be on the verge of paying for Cynthia to go to the United States before she passed away.
“REST IN PEACE, Nwanyi oma,” he wrote. I’m beyond words broken.
“One of the hardest things I’ve had to deal with recently is the fact that I was about to pay for your flight ticket to come to finish what we started only to learn you went to be with Lord just last night.
“I hope I can bounce back from the shock. Actually, life is simply a mist. You have it one second, then you don’t.
You’ve been such an incredible, nice, and delightful soul to be around for the more than 20 years that I’ve known you. I am speechless. I hope your lovely soul finds peace till we reunite in glory. #CynthiaOkereke.”
